We made a lot of improvements since last official release, in all areas – from color schemes to most advanced code analysis. Peek into build changelog, all changes since 4.0.2 and platform changelog for more details.
We plan to release final build in 4.0.x series within days – please do not hesitate to report your experience! As usual, file all reports to tracker.
Note: GitHub issue tracker/IDE tasks integration is a known issue to be fixed soon.
Download PhpStorm & WebStorm for your platform from project EAP page.
Patch update (from official 4.0.2 only) is also available.
Develop with pleasure!

Did you plan to support the Fat-Free-Framework in near future?
Patch update (from official 4.0.2 only) is also available.
Where?
Just run IDE and check for update
It gives 3 options, as usual: Release Notes, Remind Me Later, Ignore This Update.
My IDE is unofficial?.. (4.0.2 117.414)
You have skipped a build. Go get a full package & overwrite.
Unfortunately it still hangs up on editing operations (refactoring, renaming etc). It’s really hard to predict when it’s gonna happen..
I’m gonna hold off until the next release.
Previous build was better. In this one sometimes autocompletion just shuts down (with variables and methods highlighting), I have to invalidate cache and restart IDE, but it helps only for hour or two.
Can you submit a performance issue with CPU profile?
Ok, I’ve managed to spot some performance degradation introduced with fixes between 4.0.2 and 4.0.3RC and address them.
Thanks. Sorry, 90% of my work in IDE now is under NDA, so I can’t be sure that I can show snapshots of CPU activity or something similar.
Oh no… After update response of IDE is very slow, its lagging. I can’t work with PhpStorm now. I must install NetBeans.
Netbeans is awful, IMO. Why not go back one release?
