We have covered YouTrack usage extensively, and we’re still trying to ensure that end users understand what they’re doing when they work with the application.
However, the administrative part has been somewhat overlooked – up until today.
Please welcome YouTrack Administrator’s Guide that currently provides details on the following:
- General Admin area overview: shows how you can use different pages in YouTrack Admin area.
- Initial setup: steps you’re supposed to take when running YouTrack for the first time.
- Administering projects: guidelines on creating, configuring, and importing projects from JIRA.
- Administering user access: procedures for configuring roles, groups, and users.
- Integrating YouTrack with external tools, including JIRA, TeamCity, LDAP, and OpenID.
If there’s something you need to know about YouTrack administration that is not covered in the Administrator’s Guide, please let us know!
Why images in doc so small???
Because they’re clickable
Or otherwise they’d be too big!
But it makes document unusable … Is it possible to make them expendable in document?
AFAIK, Confluence out of the box doesn’t allow expanding thumbnails in-page.
Whats the proper way of updating EAP releases of YouTrack ?
Stop youtrack, override old jar or war file, start server back.
Also, for build 76 you have to get new license from here: http://jetbrains.net/confluence/display/TSYSPUB/EAP+Build+Installation
Some installation instructions in Windows would be nice…
Gavin,
With a jar file, you just double-click it in Windows, and YouTrack launches. Alternatively, execute
java -jar youtrack-xx.jar
in Windows command prompt
For war files, there are installation instructions on the download page. The direct link is as follows: http://www.jetbrains.com/youtrack/download/installation_instructions.html
