Live Stream Recording – HTTP Client – Secret Weapon for Web Service Testing

If you missed our last IntelliJ IDEA live stream, it’s be easy to get up to speed. Just head to our YouTube or Twitch channel and watch the recording. During the stream, Mala Gupta and her guest Yuriy Artamonov showed us the ins and outs of JetBrains’ WebService testing solution.

This informative and hands-on episode gave us a great chance to do some in-depth learning about one of the core plugins of JetBrains IDEs.

Obviously, the developers’ toolbox can offer you many solutions for web service testing. You can even pick one of the plugins available in our Marketplace. Still, if you are looking for something that will be intuitive and ready to use from the get-go, you might find the built-in HTTP Client to be a convenient addition to your development arsenal.

The magic of the HTTP Client was the topic of Yuriy Artamonov’s presentation during January’s IntelliJ IDEA Live Stream. 

We started from scratch by creating a simple .http file to execute a few requests and examine a couple of responses. In less than an hour, Yuriy covered both basic and advanced usage of the plugin.
