JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA 3.0 Named Finalist for 14th Annual Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards

SAN MATEO, California, Jan. 21, 2004 – JetBrains, Inc., creators of intelligent application development tools for the Java platform, announced today that for the third year in a row its award-winning JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA 3.0 has been selected as a finalist in Software Development Magazine’s 14th Annual Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards. The Jolt Awards honors products that have “jolted” the productivity of software development managers and their teams by making the task of creating software faster, easier and more efficient.

IntelliJ IDEA 3.0, the technology-leading Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Java developers, won last year’s Productivity Award and the coveted 2002 Jolt Product Excellence Award in the Languages and Development Environments category. This year’s winners will be honored at a gala ceremony on March 17, 2004 at SD West in Santa Clara, California, and in the June 2004 issue of Software Development Magazine.
