JetBrains Launches New Companion Products Web Site and Products
February 06, 2006
Prague, Czech Republic, February 6, 2006 JetBrains, creators of intelligent, productivity-enhancing applications, today announced the launch of a newly redesigned dedicated website for its IntelliJ IDEA Companion Products Program. The new site has it’s own URL on the JetBrains domain: http://companions.jetbrains.com. (It was formerly part of the JetBrains web site at https://www.jetbrains.com/.) Plug-ins at the redesigned site are now categorized by their functionality, making it easy for developers to locate tools that improve their productivity and enhance the development process.
The IntelliJ IDEA Companion Products Program features commercial-grade add-ons that further enhance and extend the robust feature set of the company’s flagship IntelliJ IDEA Java IDE (integrated development environment).
In conjunction with the release of the new site, JetBrains has announced the addition of three new companion products:
- JNIWrapper enables developers to work with native code from Java programs without using JNI. For more information see http://companions.jetbrains.com/jniwrapper/.
- ComfyJ: makes it easy and fast to embed COM/OLE/OCX/ActiveX components into Java applications. For more details see http://companions.jetbrains.com/comfyj/.
- JExplorer: facilitates the integration of Microsoft Internet Explorer into Java Swing applications. Additional information is available at http://companions.jetbrains.com/jexplorer/.
“The Companion Products Program is attracting a great deal of interest from the IntelliJ IDEA user community, said Alex Tkachman, JetBrains Director of Marketing. The companion products web site will continue to grow and evolve as the community of add-on developers continues to offer creative new enhancements for IntelliJ IDEA.”
