ReSharper and Rider 2021.2.3 have landed
Hello everyone,
ReSharper and Rider 2021.2.3 have just been released!
ReSharper
As you may already know, this September we started to move JetBrains IDEs and .NET products to a “trial with login” scheme. This means that you’ll need to log in to a JetBrains Account to evaluate products, including EAP versions. ReSharper 2021.2.3 and all subsequent ReSharper 2021.2 bug-fix releases will now ask for a JetBrains Account to begin the trial period. The main reasons for this change are the following:
- We want to protect our products from misuse. We understand that using credentials is not a silver bullet, but it still should help.
- We’d love to help newcomers get started with our products, and we’re optionally offering relevant learning materials, tips and tricks, etc. We won’t send you any emails without your explicit consent.
You can find more information on this decision and on troubleshooting in our previous blog posts. To download ReSharper 2021.2.3, please use the Other Versions page.
Rider
Bug fix releases for Rider 2021.2 will now request a JetBrains Account to begin the trial period. There are two main reasons for this change:
- We want to protect our products from misuse. We understand that using credentials is not a silver bullet, but it still should help.
- We’d love to help newcomers to get started with our products, and we’re optionally offering relevant learning materials, tips and tricks, etc. We won’t send you any emails without your explicit consent.

Aside from that, we’ve fixed several issues:
- We’ve fixed the “Untrusted solution …” security notification that used to appear twice (RIDER-70825).
- We’ve fixed the low resolution icons in submenus (IDEA-283733).
- We’ve fixed the performance lags and crashes that would occur while building and rendering the IDE’s main menu (IDEA-277709).
- Roslyn Analyzers’ diagnostics can now be suppressed with the [SuppressMessage] attribute (RIDER-65391).
