The First Set of Bug-fixes for ReSharper and Rider 2023.3 Are Here!
Hello everyone,
The ReSharper and Rider 2023.3.1 bug-fix updates have just been released! If you haven’t upgraded to the 2023.3 versions of our products, we highly recommend that you check out these blog posts:
- ReSharper 2023.3: Support For C# 12, Performance Enhancements, and More AI-Powered Features
- Rider 2023.3: Support for .NET 8 SDK, the Latest From C# 12, Performance Enhancements, Predictive Debugging, and More AI-powered Features
And now, let’s go over the most important fixes in 2023.3.1.
Rider
Here are the fixes included in this update:
- MAUI and Avalonia applications can once again be deployed to physical iOS devices. [RIDER-76794]
- We’ve resolved the AI Assistant icon duplication issue when using multiline code completion. [RIDER-102320]
- The “Packages with Vulnerabilities Detected” notification now displays as and when intended. [RIDER-102321]
- Code analysis in SQL files works correctly again. [RIDER-102851]
- Breakpoints in catch blocks no longer fail when the debugger catches an async function. [RIDER-100875]
- Native symbol resolution being enabled in dotTrace no longer causes disturbances and crashes when snapshots are taken. [PROF-1454]
This update also brings several important bug fixes to our AI Assistant:
- Fixed a bug preventing users from logging in to AI Assistant (LLM-1653).
- Provided the opportunity to check the access status for users with corporate IDE licenses from the AI Assistant tool window.
In the latest 2023.3 release, AI features are turned off by default for corporate IDE licenses. Although the plugin is already bundled, we want to let companies make the decision whether to use AI Assistant or not. Enabling AI Assistant for developers with a corporate license might take up to an hour, so we’ve implemented the ability to refresh the access status from the AI Assistant tool window immediately by clicking the Check access link.
Here you can find detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot other issues related to the AI Assistant License.

ReSharper
These are the most critical issues we’ve fixed:
- ReSharper 2023.3 can once again be installed using the web dotUltimate installer. [RSRP-495206]
- Native symbol resolution being enabled in dotTrace no longer causes disturbances and crashes when snapshots are taken. [PROF-1454]
AI Assistant
We’re working on improving the AI Assistant authorization flow inside ReSharper. In the meantime, if you’re having issues with authorization, please try clearing the AI Assistant settings, logging out and logging back in with your JetBrains Account credentials.
