ReSharper 2026.1 is here, bringing improvements that focus on how you actually work: understanding runtime behavior, writing safer C#, and keeping Visual Studio responsive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This release introduces a new approach to performance monitoring, takes ReSharper beyond Visual Studio, and delivers a range of updates to code analysis, C++ support, and overall IDE responsiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n

A new way to monitor runtime behavior [dotUltimate exclusive]<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Monitoring<\/em> tool window is now available in ReSharper, bringing the streamlined runtime performance monitoring that was previously only available in JetBrains Rider<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can now observe CPU usage, memory allocation, and other key runtime metrics while your application is running or being debugged \u2013 all in one place. The tool also detects potential performance issues automatically, helping you identify optimization opportunities earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new experience builds on the capabilities previously available through Dynamic Program Analysis (DPA)<\/strong> and JetBrains .NET profiling tools, but unifies them into a clearer, more actionable view.<\/p>\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> The DPA feature will be retired in the 2026.2 release, while its core capabilities will continue to be provided through the new monitoring experience.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Important:<\/strong> The Monitoring<\/em> tool window is available when using ReSharper as part of the dotUltimate subscription<\/a>. The functionality is not currently supported in Out-of-Process<\/em> mode<\/strong>. We are working to remove this limitation in ReSharper 2026.2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ReSharper beyond Visual Studio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With ReSharper 2026.1, you can use JetBrains ReSharper\u2019s C# tooling in Visual Studio Code and other compatible editors<\/strong>, including Cursor and Google Antigravity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
