Currently, the plugin\u2019s functionality is limited to the support for Scala and built-in integration of Zeppelin notebooks. A lot more functionality is to come, including the support for Spark, Hadoop, S3, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Today we\u2019re glad to release a <a href=\"https:\/\/plugins.jetbrains.com\/plugin\/12494-big-data-tools\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">little update<\/a> (v0.0.356) that brings minor but important bug-fixes and improvements. Below is a list of the changes included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The support for Zeppelin 0.7.3 (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-375\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BDIDE-375<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-386\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BDIDE-386<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>The Spark Job URL button in the output of Zeppelin cells (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-305\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BDIDE-305<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jetbrains.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/scala-bdt_spark_job_url.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"443\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2272\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall execution progress for Zeppelin notebooks (works only for 0.8.x and higher)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jetbrains.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/scala-bdt_overall_progress.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"443\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2273\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Structure View popup for Zeppelin notebooks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jetbrains.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/scala-bdt_structure.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"443\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2274\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the bottom of the cell, it now displays the author, execution time, and modification time<\/li>\n<li>The Basic HTTP authentication issue in Zeppelin connection dialog (it overwrote the Login field, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-402\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BDIDE-402<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>The experimental support for Zeppelin 0.9.0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-392\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BDIDE-392<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Connection is re-established automatically after a restart of an interpreter<\/li>\n<li>The default height of charts is now 10 rows<\/li>\n<li>The text output inlays are now not scrolled to the end (as it used to)<\/li>\n<li>The issue with processing the results that contain Tab characters (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtrack.jetbrains.com\/issue\/BDIDE-383\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BDIDE-383<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That\u2019s it for now.
