RubyMine 4.5 Release Candidate is Here

Hello everyone,

RubyMine 4.5 release candidate is ready! We focused on polishing release-critical features and fixing discovered problems. Thanks for your feedback and the issues you reported. Please download the RC build and give it a try. You can find all major 4.5 version changes on the RubyMine site and take a look at the latest changes in release notes.

Expect the final release next week.

By the way, we have good news to St. Louis rubyists. Hey, are there anyone from St. Louis? James Kovacs, our technical evangelist, is going to attend local Ruby and JS user groups. Don’t miss a chance to ask him any tricky questions you have!

  1. When I run the application, OS X complains that the file is damaged. The earlier EAP release 119.3 runs fine. I’m on the Mountain Lion GM seed which might be the problem. Or perhaps the packaged application is corrupt.

Have you updated via built-in updater or downloaded full dmg?

    • Dennis Ushakov says:

Paul, we were able to reproduce the problem on one of our test machines. Looks like some signature problem. Only workaround currently is to allow launching of all applications in System Preferences | Security & Privacy. We’ll try to solve this problem before final release

  2. I managed to update successfully using the built-in updater. Thanks.
