RubyMine 8.0.1 is Out

Hello everyone,

We are glad to announce that RubyMine 8.0.1 (build 143.382) is available for download.

We have fixed the problem with Rbenv SDK when using remotely and the problem with ‘except comments’ search option. This update also brings various bug fixes from the web & IntelliJ platform sides. Please take a look at the release notes and use “Check for Updates…” to download and install the update as a patch to your existing installation. Or, download RubyMine 8.0.1 from our website.

Develop with pleasure!

  1. Richard Murnane says:

Update works fine on my MacBook running el Capitan, but there seems to be an issue with my work iMac running OSX 10.7.5 Lion (I know, I should update the OS on this machine, but constraints of other software on the machine prevent me at the moment).

Anyway, when I click “Update and Restart” in the “Platform and Plugin Updates” dialog, the patch file downloads, but does not seem to get applied. RubyMine does not restart by itself, and when I click on its icon on the Dock, the icon bounces once, the activity “light” underneath the icon comes on briefly and then goes off again.

If I click the RubyMine icon again, the application starts, but again prompts me with “Platform and Plugin Updates. RubyMine is ready to update”, i.e. back to square one.

Incidentally, the Updates dialog say “RubyMine 8.0.1 is now available!”, but the version information further down says:

    “Current version: 8.0.0 (build 143.381)
    New version: 8.0.0 (build 143.382)”

Which am I updating to? 8.0.0 build 143.382, or 8.0.1?

    Thanks!
