YouTrack
Powerful project management for all your teams
Welcome to YouTrack 6.5 Early Access Program
We are so thrilled today to open YouTrack 6.5 Early Access Program! Please welcome the first EAP build and be the first one to check it out. We still have some time before the official release and will be adding more goodies for you to try! Check the YouTrack 6.5 Roadmap for the full menu.
What’s already in there?
Integration with Bitbucket and GitLab
Use native Bitbucket and GitLab integration in order to:
- Type any YouTrack command in the commit comment and have it applied to the mentioned issue. (All changes will be made with the committer’s account.)
- Use commit hashes in YouTrack issues to provide direct links to Bitbucket/Gitlab commits.
- Optionally attach changes manually by entering a Revision number.
- Add VCS changes to a specific tab of VCS commits, and filter them with the search query has:{vcs changes}.
One-click Jira Import
Import your Jira projects with all their histories, watcher lists, voters, custom fields, reporters, assignees, comments, attachments, and even work items.
Simply provide the link to your Jira, your login and your password, and that’s it! YouTrack will create a group for your Jira assignees, and users for your Jira reporters. This import supports Jira 5+ and looks as follows:

Project Wizard
Creating a project in YouTrack is now a matter of completing just three fields. Meanwhile, YouTrack automatically creates a Project-Team group and sets a Developer role to it. So, simply invite your team members and you’re good to go!
But that’s not all. Welcome the brand new Project List, with project tiles showing the project name, description and project team. A project filter with query assistance is also included.
Also, try a fast new way to edit projects, by adding a team member or group to the project team in one click.
Redesigned Administration UI
Our goal for v6.5 is to completely rework the Administration part, however, we’ll be adding pages one by one as they are ready. Some are already available. The Workflow part now looks like this:
Mailbox integration settings new UI:
Please note: At the moment Projects are not editable in the new UI. We’re working on that.
Enhancements
Dashboard
Resize your widgets, edit and drag them smoothly, and open a widget in full screen by double-clicking its header. Better query assistance, saved searches and tag filters are also available now.
Workflow
YouTrack 6.5 introduces a number of useful goodies to enhance custom workflows:
- JT-24970 – send notification on comment update
- JT-29205 – more detailed workflow language reference
- JT-28920 – run ScheduledRules and TimeEvents under specific Workflow user
Mailbox integration
Using YouTrack as a help desk? Try some brand new sweet goodies:
- JT-28141 – add ${reply-to} variable
- JT-28744 – all user’s emails will be now associated with one user profile
- JT-19981 – square brackets contents in an email title shouldn’t be discarded
- JT-28625 – add “Disable Mailbox rule” option
GitHub Integration
Changes from GitHub will no longer be added as comments to an issue. Now you have a dedicated issue tab with VCS commits.
You can also filter a list of issues that have VCS changes. This is done with the search query has:{vcs changes}.
TeamCity Integration
TeamCity changes are now reflected under the VCS Commits tab as well:
And even that’s not all! With YouTrack 6.5 you can:
- JT-7079 Support VCS branches in Teamcity integration
- JT-6619 Map one YouTrack project with several configurations in TeamCity
