YouTrack Helpdesk Now Includes Customer Groups

Hello from the YouTrack team!
YouTrack Helpdesk now supports customer groups, helping B2B support teams tailor the experience to different customers. This release also includes Whiteboards and Gantt chart improvements for project planning, more effective Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections for AI tools, new import options for teams moving from ClickUp or Asana, and more apps on JetBrains Marketplace.
Here’s what’s new in the latest YouTrack release:
Customer groups in YouTrack Helpdesk let support teams group reporters by company, team, or organization, giving agents a practical way to independently manage requests from various B2B customers and internal teams. Each customer group can have its own SLAs and customer-specific rules and can assign tickets to dedicated agents. Reporters in the same group can share tickets within their company more easily.

Improved Whiteboards now include an auto-layout option and widgets, so teams can arrange ideas and project items into clearer structures and always have important context readily available.
Redesigned Gantt charts make it easier to navigate project timelines, monitor progress, and manage dependencies, with better performance for complex projects.
Simpler, more secure MCP connections let administrators configure access without relying on permanent tokens. Users can connect AI tools to YouTrack by signing in with their YouTrack account.

New import options from ClickUp or Asana help teams move projects, tasks, users, comments, attachments, and other work data into YouTrack.
More apps on JetBrains Marketplace help teams with sprint planning, testing and QA, time tracking, and everyday work with tasks and Knowledge Base articles.

If you use YouTrack Cloud, your YouTrack version will automatically be upgraded to YouTrack 2026.2 in accordance with our Maintenance Calendar.

If you don’t have an active YouTrack subscription, you can use the free YouTrack for up to 10 users and 3 YouTrack Helpdesk agents to test out the new version before you commit to buying.
