With IntelliJ IDEA you can quickly generate persistence mappings from any database schema. This feature is not so easy to find, so here’s the tip:

    Why oracle schema column type varchar2 map java type java.lang.Object not java.lang.String

    When I click “ok”,the issue ‘Basic attribute type should not be Object’ came out
    in the left bottom corner.
