No Release Notes page this time?

    • Mikhail Vink

      Unfortunately, not available this time.

  • Bruno

And no Blade/Laravel support yet ????

    • Drew Hammond

I see a dozen Blade bugs marked as fixed on the full list of changes for this EAP.

(disclaimer: haven’t tested this build with an actual blade template myself)

      • Drew Hammond

Errr, wait… I don’t know how I got to whatever page I was looking at. Maybe they weren’t fixed for this build but it says “Next EAP” for the fix version here.

        • Jannik Zschiesche

If you click on “see full list” above, there are a lot of blade-related and solved tickets.

          • Mikhail Vink

Yeah, we are working on Blade support and it’s coming quite soon.

    • Sorin

      Dude, DIY

    • Patrick Sweeney

Ugh. Stop spamming the comments with this, man. All you do by constantly mention it is piss people off. You’d know it’s coming soon, but apparently you can’t read English.

    reminder about http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-124540,
A regression that affects daily usage patterns (our team – and others I’m sure) and hasn’t been updated in over a month.

Did this release solve the issues with AngularJS and YAML? I mean, after 138.940 it was impossible to use PHPStorm for this stuff…

    • Clemens Tolboom

I’m hesitated to upgrade myself as a Linux coworker had this release PhpStorm 8 EAP 138.1289 crashing when editing YAML. I will try side by side first.

    • Liubov Melnikova

As far as I can see, there are no incompatibility issues with AngularJS plugin and latest PhpStorm EAP. Do you have any specific issues?

  • Ian Bytchek

    Sweet!!!

  • Luciano

The completion is still unusable in ubuntu (tried in 14.04 and 13.10), 138.940 was the last EAP version in which it was working fine.

    • Liubov Melnikova

What’s exactly the issue? Can you please provide code snippet?

      • Miguel Angel

I agree with this comment. In my case (Ubuntu 12.04) a lot of “NullPointerException: null”.

      • Luciano

I can describe it as best as I can, the problem is when I try to activate the completion (ctrl+space or typing “$obj->” for example) the list flickers and dissappears instantly. If it does open (which rearely does, if ever), as soon as I move to another otption with the keyboard by pressing up or down, the list dissappears.
So, you see, there’s no way for me to provide code or a screenshot, I hope my description helps.

      • Tarjei

Is there an issue# for this one? I’ve been struck by the same bug. Very irritating.

      • Luciano

Any updates on this?? The EAP 138.940 already expired and I’m forced to move to an EAP version with this issue unresolved…

        • Luciano

Not only I’m getting the NullPointerException, but every now and then I get a IllegalComponentStateException:

          2:46:40 PM NullPointerException: null
2:46:43 PM IllegalComponentStateException: component must be showing on the screen to determine its location

          • Filip Vozar

I have same issue also on Linux Mint 17. It’s really annoying. I have to use stable PhpStorm 7.1.3, but I miss a lot of features from 8. Does anybody try to use EAP 8 on another distro than Ubuntu and Ubuntu based?

          • Liubov Melnikova

This is a known issue: http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-127806 . Please vote/comment for it on tracker.

  • rain01

Does anybody know if it is possible to enable something that would show if the file is saved or not? Super annoying sometimes if I have no idea what state is the file. I get auto save but it doesn’t save every key press does it?

    • Liubov Melnikova

File | Settings (Preferences for Mac OS) | IDE settings | Editor | Editor tabs | Mark modified tabs with asterisk.

Thank You! You’re a life saver.

  • Darius

Latest version crashes on Mac OS X Yosemite Beta 5 :/

  • Brian

Just a note for anybody who’s considering posting a comment complaining that this EAP broke a feature and now the trial for the last one has expired and their productivity has been destroyed and now they’re going to get fired:

    You deserve to get fired.

If you need your IDE to work, use a stable version. End of discussion.

“But I need the new feature that converts pointless whining and ranting into code…”
You’ve lived without it for this long, live without it for another couple of months.

    • Andrew Ellis

You’re the only one here who said anything about productivity and being fired. Troll.
