So when will you fix the IDE’s update feature?
Love the IDE, guys, great job!
Best regards,
Darby
Is there information anywhere about what’s fixed/added?
Release notes?
Love you guys. Thanks.
Intefration with JIRA has broken:(
Is there compiled changelog for this release?
Is there a plan to implement automatic update from inside PHPStorm? This way I have to download new release and then manually install it …. Not a big fuss but would be nice to have that automated.
“Automatic patches from 2.1 are also available” – click Help|Check for update…
If you are running 2.1, it should auto-update itself to 2.1.1
Does not work for me with automatic patches from 2.1. I see the download process and phpStorm restart. And I’m still at version 2.1, I can re-download the update after and is the same problem.
“If you are running 2.1, it should auto-update itself to 2.1.1″
Auto update did not load.
Current Version 2.1.1 (B: 107.224)
New Version 2.1.1 (B: 107.307)
More/Remind/Ignore
Previous version did auto upgrade, but not this time.

Scott
@Alex Andrienko: changelog is here http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/releaseNotes/WI?q=fix+for:+{2.1.1}
And thanks to for the bugfix update!
Automatic update from PHPStorm 2.1 doesn’t work on Windows 7 (with admin rights)….
After downloading the patch it just restarts as 2.1
Nope, not working for me. Had to download it manually.
Auto-updated fine for me, would be nice to see the changelog though.
Automatic patch isn’t working for me too (107.120)
I had to do “Check for Update…” twice, but the second time the prompt appeared to automatically download and apply the patch.
The “automatic patch”… not working. I twice now watched the progress-bar go through the 2MB download, restart PHPStorm, and never change the version to 2.1.1. And, it still thinks it is just 2.1 when “check for update” is run… and the cycle starts again. An automatic patch that can does not work is not very helpful.
Great work on bug fixing. I agree with the first poster, a changelog is needed.
To get the auto update to work on Windows 7 (64Bit) I had to start PHPStorm 2.1 as Administrator, then tell it to check for updates and to install the patch.
Automatic update worked for me (only) when running PhpStorm as administrator in Windows.
Auto update only work if PhpStorm is running As Administrator (Windows 7 32 bits)
Same here, I had to update my computer at home manually but my one at work updated through the updater.
I’ve spent 20 minutes looking for release notes. Are there any? I am interested to see what has changed
added combined 2.1 -> 2.1.1 fixed issue list
Hi, any possibility to get a discount on PhpStorm as well?
Pretty pleaz…
Thanks
I was only able to update using the patch when running phpStorm as administrator (using right click on exe or shortcut). Update fine after that (windows 7 64 bit).
Here is a working link to the changelog:
http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/releaseNotes/WI?q=fix+for%3A+{2.1.1+(107.307)}
Auto-Updater is also not working for me (Win7, 64bit, logged in as user)
Copy and Paste the above Url into the address bar because the auto-generated link does not work…
AUTO-UPDATE-FIX (WIN7/64): as “Mark” said earlier in this history of comments, “To get the auto update to work on Windows 7 (64Bit) I had to start PHPStorm 2.1 as Administrator, then tell it to check for updates and to install the patch.”. THAT WORKS — auto-update now takes program up to 2.1.1 as it should. Thanks Mark!
When I use the “split vertically / horizontally”, highlighting only works in one of the windows.
Win7 x64 + SP1 Rus.
CSS editor is buggy, when I start to typing the whole IDE freezes for the 2-3 seconds… Must back to Netbeans now
I have the same problem, the IDE freezes even up to 10 seconds sometimes when typing. Not always when typing but often enough to get crazy!
Older versions worked fine on my old laptop, this version on my new laptop (Dell Latitude, Win7 64) is terrible when typing CSS. (A colleague with the same brand also have the same issue, other colleagues using other Dell-laptops does not)
Why o Why!
Guys, bug and performance reports should go into bugtracker. Follow http://devnet.jetbrains.net/docs/DOC-1253
Hi,
I missed the 50% offer till 30 of June. Will there be again such offer in near time? I love your IDE!
Thank you,
sincerely, Adrian.
Adrian, we are not going to make any discounts in near time. Sometimes we offer discount coupons at conferences where we participate.
