KotlinConf is bringing the Kotlin community together for the fifth time, from May 22 to 24, 2024, at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark!

An important milestone of our educational initiatives is the release of a freely available semester-long Programming in Kotlin curriculum. The Programming in Kotlin course includes slides for 11 lectures covering core Kotlin programming language concepts complete with speaker notes. The course comes with assessment resources, such as quizzes, three tests, and four homework assignments with hands-on coding exercises. You can use the curriculum as-is or adjust it to fit your educational needs.

Join us for a special livestream for Kotlin educators on Jun 21, 2023 at 16:00 UTC! Our guest, Anastasia Birillo, is a Kotlin developer and instructor, an active member of the Kotlin community, and one of the authors of the ‘Programming in Kotlin’ course materials. Anastasia is teaching this course at Constructor University in Bremen, Germany and Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus. During this livestream, Anastasia will share her teaching experience and the new course materials, designed specifically for Kotlin educators and available for free. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get them answered during the Q&A part of the livestream.

We are thrilled to announce that 5 Kotlin project contributors have been selected for Google Summer of Code 2023! With the guidance of mentors from JetBrains, Google, and Gradle, they will work on 12-week programming projects with the Kotlin Foundation.

GSoC is a global online stipend program focused on bringing new contributors into open-source software development.
