How to apply

If you’re a student at an accredited educational institution (university, college, etc.), you can apply for the JetBrains Student Pack in a few easy steps:

1: Fill out the application form
Go to the JetBrains Student Pack signup page and apply using your student credentials. You can verify your student status by providing your official university email address or an ISIC/ITIC student ID, using your GitHub Student Developer Pack account, or uploading other official proof of enrollment.

2: Verify your email address
After you apply, you’ll receive a verification link via email. Click that link to confirm your email address and student status.

3: Install your IDE
Once your application has been approved, log in to your JetBrains Account to download any IDE you need – IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, CLion, Rider, PhpStorm, DataGrip, RubyMine, RustRover, DataSpell, or Goland. Your JetBrains IDE student licenses will be completely free and remain valid as long as you’re a student. You’ll also receive detailed installation instructions via email.
Note: Your free access remains active as long as you’re a student, but it must be renewed annually. Don’t worry – we’ll remind you. Just resubmit proof of your student status when it’s due.

4: Enable plugins
Open your new IDE and install the JetBrains Academy plugin for project-based courses and the IDE Features Trainer for mastering essential shortcuts and features, both available in the plugin marketplace. You can also enable Code With Me for pair programming directly from your project.

5: Try the AI tools
When you’re ready, click the AI icon in the top-right corner of your IDE to enable AI Assistant for code generation, explanations, and refactoring, and try Junie for multistep tasks and complex challenges. Test-drive JetBrains AI tools during your trial, and then switch to the AI Free plan or upgrade anytime.
