MPS is getting closer to the release of its next major version. Check out the main new features that we’ve prepared for you. DOWNLOAD MPS 2020.1 EAP Light patterns (MPS-31733) Pattern language helps define structure patterns and match nodes over them. It uses regular concept editors which make the pattern appear closely like the nodes it accepts. But for some complex editors that do not correspond exactly to the concept structure, it can be more comfortable to use light patterns (pattern builders) that describe the required structure literally. Fast startup time for MPS 2018.3.1!
After talking with our users, we’ve realized that the performance of MPS, especially its startup times, wasn’t very good. For this version, we put some effort into boosting the performance and managed to make startup substantially faster. At the same time, we’ve also fixed some other bugs – see the complete list here. MPS 2017.2 is released!
Winter MPS 2017.2 is coming! MPS wouldn’t be anything without their users, that’s why in this version we focussed on improving the user experience. The main improvements and features in this release are: Redesigned and better migration assistance. Shiftless code-completion is here! MPS 2017.2 Public Preview is ready!
Last features, but not least, of the MPS 2017.2! The MPS 2017.2 PPV brings new things to the table. Now you can execute editor tests within MPS plugin for IntelliJ IDEA, language migrations are now supported in IntelliJ IDEA plugin, and two step deletion is here to improve the experience of writing code. MPS 2017.2 EAP3 is ready! Sweet functions came in this EAP. Now you can specify matching text and in-editor textual presentation for references directly in the editor aspect. Your time is valuable, so type less and code more with our shiftless code completion. We know that sometimes it is hard to track the action in the completion and context assistance, that’s why we implement a new way to visualize the trace in the project tool. MPS 2017.2 EAP2 is in the house! We are enabling generation plans to generate descriptor models for languages and we extract a new set of public API interfaces.
