RubyMine 2.5 EAP (96.886): PowerSave mode
Hello folks,
We are glad to publish new EAP version of RubyMine. The main feature of this release is a new PowerSave mode. It is not a secret that RubyMine CPU consumption is generally quite high which makes the IDE hardly usable during your trips if you don’t have a power supply. New PowerSave mode is designed to make it possible. Just turn it on and voila, average CPU consumption significantly reduced and the battery lasts longer! Internaly this mode turns off on-the-fly code inspections.
You can easily turn it on by File | Power Save Mode menu item or using Hector the Inspector icon in the IDE status bar.
Full release notes are here. Download EAP build and tell us what you think about it!
Develop with pleasure!
