Fleet
More Than a Code Editor
Fleet Preview Update 1.22: Terraform Support, Attach to Process for C#, Quick-Fixes Preview, and More.
Fleet 1.22 has landed, and it comes with a host of improvements and valuable new features:
- Fleet now comes with Terraform support, making working with the tool seamless. Now, Fleet understands your Terraform files, highlights important parts clearly, offers helpful suggestions as you type, and makes sure your code looks neat and tidy.
- In Fleet 1.22, we removed the application top bar on Linux GNOME. This useless window header will no longer draw your attention away and distract you from the truly important things happening inside the IDE.
- Quick-Fix Preview is now turned on by default. When you’re working on your code, you’ll easily see how fixes will look before applying them. It’s like trying on a new outfit before you buy it – but for your code!
- We have improved how the Git Revert works and now this feature has become more flexible. Simply set your caret on the change you want to roll back and invoke Git Revert. The selected alteration will be undone, leaving the rest of your work undisturbed.
- AI Assistant: the prompt history was added to the Editor and Chat. Show previous searches by pressing the Up and Down arrows. It works only when the input field is empty. The prompt history is stored per project.
- We added an opportunity to modify a prompt after AI code generation is completed. This enhancement empowers you to fine-tune the output according to your specific requirements iteratively.
- You reported an annoying bug that required re-entering credentials after cloning a repository over HTTPS. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our team, this issue has been resolved. An uninterrupted workflow has now been restored, so you can wave goodbye to those pesky password prompts.
- The “Attach to process” feature has been added to Fleet. With this powerful tool, you can easily connect Fleet’s debugger to your running C# applications. Dive deep into your code’s execution, track variables in real-time, and swiftly identify and fix issues – all without the need to restart.
- The issue regarding the inability to add key bindings has been successfully addressed and resolved in the 1.22 release. With this bug fix, you can now seamlessly add and manage key bindings within Fleet, enhancing your customization and workflow efficiency.
- We have enhanced the typing assistance experience. With these improvements, you’ll now benefit from more intuitive and accurate typing suggestions as you work with XML, HTML, and JSX. Enhanced context awareness and automatic tag completion result in a smoother and more efficient coding journey.
- The issue causing a remote development session to hang in a “reconnecting” state has been successfully identified and resolved. Those irritating moments when remote connections dropped due to network changes or client sleep mode are now a thing of the past.
