How to Subscribe to the JetBrains Blog RSS Feed: A Complete Guide

Subscribing to an RSS feed is a straightforward process that can be completed in as few as four steps. We have documented it in nine.

Step 1: Open your RSS reader.

Launch the application. If it is not installed, install it first, then launch it. If you do not have an RSS reader, you will need one. We recommend any reader that supports RSS 2.0. A list of compatible readers is available in the main announcement post.

Step 2: Locate the subscription input.

Look for an “Add Feed,” “Subscribe,” “New Subscription,” or “+” option. Its exact label depends on your reader. If you cannot find it, consult your reader’s documentation. We cannot document every RSS reader. We tried.

Step 3: Copy the feed URL.

The URL is: https://blog.jetbrains.com/feed/

Select the entire URL. Copy it. Do not add a space at the end. Readers have failed on this before. We are not naming names.

Step 4: Paste the URL into the input field.

Use Ctrl+V on Windows and Linux, or ⌘V on macOS. If you are on mobile, long-press the field and select Paste. Verify that the URL you pasted matches the URL from Step 3. It should.

Step 5: Press Enter, or tap the confirm button.

Your reader will now fetch the feed. This typically takes under two seconds. If it takes longer, your internet connection is slow. The feed is not slow. We verified this.

Step 6: Confirm the feed has been added.

You should see “JetBrains Blog” appear in your subscriptions list. If you see an error, check that the URL from Step 4 matches the URL from Step 3. If it does and the error persists, see Step 9.

Step 7: Browse the latest posts.

The feed will populate with recent JetBrains blog posts. You can read them here, in your reader, without opening a browser, without a JetBrains account, and without JavaScript. This is the point.

Step 8: Consider subscribing to individual product feeds.

If you only care about specific products, per-product feeds are available. All URLs follow the pattern blog.jetbrains.com/{product}/feed/. Alternatively, download the OPML file and import all feeds at once. This is what the OPML file is for.

Step 9: If something went wrong.

The feed is at https://blog.jetbrains.com/feed/. It is an XML file. It is publicly accessible. It requires no authentication. If it is not working, please leave a comment and we will investigate.
