JetBrains Continues Expansion in US with New Development Office in Boston
Creators of IntelliJ IDEA Tap Intellectual Power of Area Resources
February 02, 2004
SAN MATEO, California, February 02, 2004 – JetBrains, Inc., creators of intelligent application development tools, today announced the opening of a development office in Boston, Massachusetts, continuing the company’s expansion into North America. JetBrains selected Boston for its global reputation for technological innovation and thought leadership, as well as the area’s unparalleled source of top intellectual talent from which to draw. Boston is home to Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, Tufts University and University of Massachusetts Boston, and many other excellent technical schools and training centers.
“Boston’s vast concentration of academic and technical resources allows us to expand our team of top-quality developers,” said Eugene Belyaev, President and Chief Technology Officer of JetBrains, Inc. “We often find people who would be strong additions to our team but cannot move to Prague or St. Petersburg. This new developer facility will allow us to attract and tap into the talented US developer pool in supporting our growing US customer base.”
