New tabbed view for course selection

We are continuing our efforts to make the user interface for course selection easier and clearer so that your learning experience is even smoother and more enjoyable. In the previous version of the plugin, we implemented a new UI for browsing course cards, and now we’re happy to present a new tabbed view for course selection where content is conveniently grouped by supported platform:

So whether you want to start a JetBrains Academy track and feel the power of project-based learning, begin an Algorithmic Toolbox course from Coursera, or maybe open a specific Stepik course directly from a link, you have everything you need right in front of you!

In the Community Courses tab, you’ll find all the courses created by the community using the EduTools plugin, including popular JetBrains courses, such as “Kotlin Koans”, “AtomicKotlin”, and “Introduction to Python”. By selecting the CheckiO tab and joining a course, you’ll start learning to program by playing games and completing interesting quizzes. Pretty neat, don’t you think?

Task description with the last verification result and submissions display for JetBrains Academy

Imagine a scenario. You’ve chosen the Python Track at JetBrains Academy, selected the “Hangman” project, and now you’re in your JetBrains IDE to solve one of the coding tasks. You’ve already made a few submissions for the task, and your latest attempt came back with a compilation error (see the screenshot below). Don’t worry if you’re tired and want to take a break. With a new feature of the plugin, the last verification result for the current task will be shown in the Task Description window even after you restart the IDE and reopen the project:

This means you can come back to the task right from where you left off.

Want to look back at your history of submissions for the task and the results? No problem, because in this release we’ve also added a new Submissions tab for JetBrains Academy coding tasks:

Select any submission from the list to compare it with your current local solution:
