CLion 2022.2 Goes Beta

The Beta version of CLion is now available with the key improvements and changes that are expected in the upcoming 2022.2 release. Download build 222.3345.40 from our website, via the Toolbox App, or as a snap package (for Ubuntu).

Here are the main highlights:

  • Code analysis:
    • We fixed the incorrectly shown Constant condition notification when converting double to bool and int (CPP-23668).
    • We fixed the issue causing -Wformat diagnostics to not work when using the MinGW toolchain (CPP-29429).
  • We added a new action to generate tables of contents in Markdown files. This new action is available from the Insert and Generate pop-up menus (Alt+Insert on Windows/Linux, ⌘N on macOS). The IDE will insert a table of contents at the current caret position and enclose it with <!–– TOC ––> tags so that you can update it later by calling the same menu:Markdown TOC
