CLion 2024.2 Release Candidate

The next major CLion release is around the corner, and the v2024.2 RC is already available!

To install CLion 2024.2 RC (build 242.20224.214), download it from our website, update via the Toolbox App, or use this snap package (for Ubuntu). You need an active subscription or a trial license to use the CLion 2024.2 RC.

Here are the highlights:

  • The following bugs have been fixed: 
    • UI texts now appear in the proper translated version when you’re using a language other than English and the new language engine (CLion Nova) is enabled (CPP-39474).
    • The std::byte hex value is now displayed correctly in the debugger (CPP-22952).
    • Sticky lines now correctly work with a switch/case construction (CPP-38015).
    • The incorrect behavior of volume bindings in the Docker toolchain has been fixed (CPP-39116).
  • Other updates: 
    • The AI name suggestions list now appears when the Rename and Change signature refactorings are taking place with CLion Nova enabled (CPP-37181).
    • CLion’s Features Trainer now contains lessons about Code Assistant (CPP-37769).
