Today we continue our series of blog posts dedicated to the Hour of Code. This time, we’ll talk about the very basics of frontend development — HTML tags, the main element in building a website. HTML is a markup language used to define headlines, text paragraphs, links, images, and many other elements so that the browser knows how to structure the web page and show it to the user. One of the common uses of HTML is to create web pages that are displayed on the internet. The most important components of HTML are tags, which not only provide the page structure but also allow you to create lists and forms, add links and images, and so much more.

Then, after learning about HTML page structure, try creating your first web page. It will be quite empty at first, but don’t worry – in a short time, you will be able to add images and lists and format your text to make everything look nicer. Voilà, now you have your first web page ready to go!
