One last warning: there’s only one day left before 50% discount special offer will end.

In the meantime we bring you a fresh weekly builds of PhpStorm & WebStorm 2.0. You’ll get several new features and important bugfixes, so all users of previous EAP are urged to update. Most notable are:

  • Mercurial DVCS support added
  • LESS support added. Note that we don’t have any build process both for SASS & LESS yet
  • PHP namespaces got reference resolution, usages search and rename support. Note that namespaces are still not honored in class resolution
  • PHP editor got Code | Generate | Getters and setters
  • Inspection performance improved, especially on batch runs (Code | Inspect code)
  • XML editing performance dramatically improved for projects with lots of xi:include tags
  • Significant bug fixes, check project issue tracker for more complete changelog

Please note that ALL of this is work in progress and will undergo series of both technical and cosmetic changes during next months.

How close are you to implementing php frameworks support?

  • Alexey Gopachenko

@Emmanuel Meta framework support should appear in EAP builds in a month or so…

Oops! I just missed the 50% offer… was overseas with no computer access and I just got back… any chance of the 50% discount being offered just for one more day? :)

  • Dan Berlyoung

Possibly dumb question, do we need to remove the hg4idea plugin or does PHPStorm still need it?

  • Alexey Gopachenko

hg4idea is now developed by JetBrains and is bundled into PhpStorm and other IDEs, you should uninstall all previous versions.

  • Thomas Kahl

I have tested the new version for some days now. MUCH better than the 1.0! The support for frameworks – also something like the Joomla framework works great now. Just add a Joomla directory to your extension project and you have (nearly) the full support. The only thing i’m really missing is the quick open / edit directly from FTP-Server. Keep up the good work!

It really drives me crazy that the abbreviations in Live Template have been completely changed. How can I bring back the old abbrs in phpstorm 1.0 ?

    Dear Thomas Kahl:
Would you please to demo me how to configure the Joomla directory to extension project?
