Does this resolve Tool Windows breaking on Windows 10 post FTP deployment? Did a quick search on the youtrack page and didn’t see a mention of it.

What is the exact behavior? Can you recall an existing issue id?

I didn’t have an existing issue ID. It only happened on my personal Windows 10 machine, not the Mac at work so I wasn’t able to replicate it on another computer. But for me, if I would select a list of changes outside of, say, the Version Control tool window, then deploy them using Tools -> Deployment -> Upload to default, the prompt for FTP-ed files would display on the bottom right, then all tool windows would hide and be inaccessible until I restarted PHPStorm.

We have a similar report in ZD, could you please submit the bug?

Font size of search dialog became smaller and harder to read. Reported at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-37538.

This release broke vital part of our development and made the whole IDE useless in the most cases by changing how filenames are parsed: https://i.imgur.com/44NQIdW.png

Some of our old files are prefixed with “class.” and now PhpStorm thinks everything after the first dot is an extension – in previous releases the behavior was to treat everything after last dot as an extension (which makes more sense after all).

    • Vladimir Luchansky says:

What happens if you go to File | Settings | Editor | General | Editor Tabs and disable “Hide file extension in editor tabs” option?

      • Greg says:

        August 8, 2017

@vladimir_luchansky:disqus It mitigates the problem – I didn’t knew such option exists tbh 🙂 When the option is enabled thou it breaks in a weird way – after opening the project with tabs open, the names are correct BUT clicking few times between tabs, opening and closing files etc leads to multiple “class” tabs.

Would be great if you could contact us in order to investigate this further. You can do this right from PhpStorm: Help > New Support Request.
