PyCharm 1.2 EAP build 105.18; new Find/Replace UI

Posted on by Dmitry Jemerov

Today we’ve released a new EAP build of PyCharm 1.2. The noteworthy changes of the new build include:

  • The code compatibility inspection has been updated for Python 3.2;
  • New quick fix to create Django templates from usage;
  • More correct and consistent building of PYTHONPATH when running scripts and applications from within PyCharm.

In addition to that, I’d like to highlight a new feature in the new version of PyCharm: new UI for Find and Replace. This feature is currently under active development, and it may still have rough edges, and we’d love to hear what you think about it so that we could resolve the issues before the final release of PyCharm 1.2.

You can download PyCharm 1.2 EAP and check the complete release notes on the EAP page.

    It would be nice if you could repair the considerable number of actual errors in the program instead of adding such a minor change such as search/replace…

    New Find/Replace UI looks really SWEET.

    Could you please report the errors you encounter in PyCharm via the issue tracker at http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/ ?

    Every time I make a change to my model – I have to restart the Django Console, and type in the import statements.

    What is the way to avoid this?

    1) Is there a way to “restart” the Django shell ?
    2) Is there a way to setup the imports on Dj shell startup?

    This feels like an unfinished product in other respects too…
