RubyMine 7.1.3 Bug Fix Update

Hello everyone,

One more update for version 7.1 is now available for you. In RubyMine 7.1.3 we’ve addressed a number of known issues and performance problems, including performance issues in RubyMotion apps. The full list of fixed issues can be found in the release notes.

Our colleagues on the PhpStorm team have also added a new feature called Remote edit. It allows files to be opened from the remote host (such as FTP, SFTP or FTPS) and edited in the IDE, without adding/downloading them to your local project. Read more about that in the PhpStorm blog.

As usual, a patch update is available from RubyMine 7.1.2. If you’re using a different RubyMine version, please download and install RubyMine 7.1.3 from our website.

Develop with pleasure!

Big fan of RubyMine in general, but my whole team is having issues with 7.1.3 on Mac OS X.
Personally, I’m going back to 7.0.4 and I thought I would let you know some of the things I’ve noticed, specifically around rspec files:
Sometimes rspec files will not open until you restart the IDE.
Formatting is all messed up. Lines won’t indent correctly, and reformat does not fix it.
The app starts to really grind the CPU.
Selection doesn’t work – double clicking a word will select a different part of the line sometimes.

One more thing I have noticed (not rspec related) is that autocomplete has changed in Ruby files, but not other files (eg. JS/HTML). It used to be pressing enter would auto-select the first suggestion. Now it doesn’t in ruby files, but I’ve seen it complete in other files.

Looks like spec files are not detected correctly. Could you please send more details to rubymine-support@jetbrains.com, idea.log (Help | Show Log in…), project sample and any screenshots to illustrate wrong indentation.

Pre-selection behaviour default option was changed for Ruby files since RubyMine 7.1. To recover previous
