PhpStorm & WebStorm 2.0 EAP build 98.271
We were pretty busy presenting PhpStorm on ZendCon’10 this week so update notification is a bit late, but anyway: PhpStorm & WebStorm 2.0 EAP build 98.271 is available. This one brings following new features:
- Unused Parameter inspection was added, enabled as Info/Unused highlighting by default
- Zend Toolbar support improved. After initiating first connection from toolbar user will be presented with local source selection window and afterwards debugging requires no extra interactions. We’re planning to implement same “zero configuration” debugging for XDebug
- Zend Tool command window usability improved – its now non-modal, with editor-like completion and parameter info. We plan to add advanced parameter completion i.e. existing controller names and alike. This functionality will eventualy evolve into generic command line in a next couple of months.
Known Issues
- Automatic code completion is not working in this build, please invoke manually via Ctrl+Space
Complete changelog
Please note that ALL of this is work in progress and will undergo series of both technical and cosmetic changes.
Download PhpStorm & WebStorm 2.0 EAP build 98.271 for your platform from project EAP page or wait for an update notification or invoke manually with Help|Check for update
Develop with pleasure!

November 9, 2010This one seems to freeze a lot, mainly when detecting changes to the file system (Windows 7, 64bit). Rather random though – it doesn’t freeze on every change, only from time to time, hard to catch.
