WebStorm 7.0.3

Ekaterina Prigara

WebStorm update version 7.0.3 is ready! Check for updates and install it right from the IDE or download it on the product website for fresh install.

WebStorm 7.0.3 update brings you lots of bug fixes and improvements, but also a bunch of new features coming from IntelliJ IDEA platform update.

What you should try in WebStorm 7.0.3?

First, have a look at new minimalistic UI – toolbar and tool window are hidden by default (you can always invoke View | Toolbar and View | Tool Buttons).

Second, try new Search everywhere feature – invoke it with double-Shift or with the magnifying glass icon at the top-right and search for a class, action, symbol or file instantly.

Lens mode helps you preview different parts of the file and navigate to the lines you need.

Also now WebStorm has full support for Subversion 1.8, new log view for Git and Mercurial and much more.

Here are the release notes. If interested, please also check notes for EAP version.

If you are experiencing problems with WebStorm 7.0.3 installation on Windows, please, try to download WebStorm 7.0.3 once again using one of the alternative mirrors:

If this doesn’t help, try .zip as an alternative distribution package: http://download.jetbrains.com/webstorm/WebStorm_7.0.3.zip

Develop with pleasure!

Meanwhile, may I suggest you install WebStorm 7.0.2 (http://download.jetbrains.com/webstorm/WebStorm-7.0.2.exe) and update it to 7.0.3 in the IDE.

We’ve been testing Windows installation file earlier today and everything was ok. And right now I successfully installed WebStorm on my old Windows XP machine, all good.
Please use the suggested workaround now. We’ll have a closer look on the issue. Thanks!

Same for me on windows 8 64-bit. NSIS Error, installed 6 and it works. Trying the 7.0.2 suggestion to get past this. Really interested in this IDE.

Sorry to hear that the problem repeats.
You can also try to download WebStorm 7.0.3 from different mirror.

Got the NSIS error when trying to install WebStorm 7.0.3 from the product website.
Download from alternate links worked for me.

Also having the installation problems, win8, located in southern California. Trying alternate sources.

The download is not working. Getting the error others are getting above. Why am I having to go to an alternate download? Why don’t you fix the link? Its been going on for weeks. Fix it.

Who cares if you installed it on XP? That is a ten year old OS.

Trying to install WebStorm-7.0.3.exe onto a Windows Vista system, it gave the integrity check error. Going to the NSIS page and adding “/NCRC”, which it did not recommend using, to the command-line, let it start the install, but it failed a decompression with a corruption warning.

Downloaded the .zip file. Seemed to work fine. Will let you know if otherwise. Would rather use the install .exe file to help clean up from the above aborted install.

The WebStorm 7.0.3 main download from your home page fails to install, NSIS Error.
After much aggravation and wasted time, I found that the first alternative exe link worked, the zip was not needed.

I agree with the user who said FIX IT!
    Your whole company looks INCOMPETENT.
You have known about this for nearly a month now…

A simple web designer could change your bad link, right?
It is absolutely ridiculous to leave a bad download link on your home page.

The upgrade sets Automatic Upload off in the deployment settings. Took me a bit to realize what was going wrong. It keeps your other deployment settings though.

Is it normal all icons in launch bar (windows 8.1) between jetBrains program are shared and messed up ? If I start RubyMine it uses AndroidStudio icon, if I start phpStorm, it takes RubyMine icon, etc

Shouldn’t be that way. Could you please a screenshot showing exactly what happens or a short video (post it here or contact our support: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/anonymous_requests/new)?

I could reproduce that with IDEA and PyCharm a while ago running on a Windows 7/32 bits.

Basically if you had one of the executables pinned to the taskbar all IntelliJ programs will group into that icon as if they were two instances of the same. If you had two, it would group in the first one that was opened. Finally if you had the shortcut pinned instead of the executable they’d open each one in their respective icon group.

Additionally when the icons are messed and you right click them they’ll have shortcuts to open the projects associated with the “showing” IDE (not the “open” one, i.e. right click on open PyCharm with IDEA icon showed IDEA projects).

Hope this helps someone. I couldn’t take screenshots of those behaviors because I had to reformat my PC and now there’s only IDEA installed.
