    Gives me the following warning:
    Assigned expression type number is not assignable to type T

    Problem is: I’m not using TS.

    Code that causes warning:
    const matrix2 = [new Array(2).fill(0)];
    matrix2[0][0] = 1;
    1 is underlined and gives warning

    If I write it in a more verbose way, there is no warning:
    const matrix = [];
    matrix[0] = new Array(2).fill(0);
    matrix[0][0] = 1;
    1 is not underlined, no warning.

    The error does not appear if I don’t use “fill”.
    Code executes just fine in both cases and results are identical, as expected.

      Hello Yurii,

      I don’t have any issues using javascript code like const matrix2 = [new Array(2).fill(0)]; in 2020.2 EAP. If the issue persists after caches invalidation (File > Invalidate caches, Invalidate and restart), please create a new ticket in youtrack, providing a minimal project the problem can be repeated with

      Sorry for the inconvenience. Please share more details with our support team (Help | Contact Support from the main menu in WebStorm) as per https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241235-Reporting-performance-problems. Support can also ask you about the IDE logs which be found in Help | Collect Logs. We’ll analyze the diagnostic data and try to solve the problem.

        Sorry, I have no time to test it for you 🙂
        I got back to the previous version 2020.1.1 – it works fine

          I wasn’t asking to test it for us, I’m sorry if it felt this way. We do test our IDEs before releasing them into production, but unfortunately, it’s not possible to cover all the testing scenarios as our products are rather complex. Whenever a problem like yours occurs, we always ask for more details in order to dig deeper into it and make the product better for you. Without more context, it’s hard to understand what the problem can be related to.
          Either way, I’m glad to hear that v2020.1.1 works fine for you. In a couple of weeks we should release the next bug-fix update, v2020.1.3, you may want to try giving it a go to see if the problems you had were solved.

    prettier save format not working

      Could you elaborate on what you mean by not working? Have you been able to configure it but it won’t work or is it that you can’t find Prettier on save in the IDE settings? If it’s the former, please double-check that the file watcher you used for running files on save is disabled.
      In general, you can find details instructions on how to run Prettier on save here: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/webstorm/prettier.html#ws_prettier_run_automatically_in_current_project.
