We are happy to say that all of the JetBrains desktop tools have been given a huge overhaul!
Look through the major IDEs and .NET tools news and update to the newest versions to start enjoying the brand new features and enhancements.
IntelliJ IDEA 2019.2
supports Java 13 preview features, integrates Profiling Tools, and introduces a new single place to view all services – the Services tool window. It also lets you manage all code styles per scope via an EditorConfig file, supports the native Git ignore files handling out of the box, and improves its support for Build tools.
adds new goodies to the debugger and improves support for Xamarin iOS development. The UI is now clearer, friendlier, and more consistent. This release also brings Code Vision to F#, code coverage for Mono, and finally supports third-party and 32-bit controls in the Windows Forms designer.
provides more assistance for Embedded developers and improves the debugging abilities in several areas, including an experimental debugger for the Microsoft Visual C++ toolchain. The editor introduces Parameter Name hints and improves code analysis by bringing back and updating the ‘Unused Includes’ check. This all is accompanied by improved IDE performance and several huge changes from the IntelliJ Platform.
boosts the debugger with function calls support, adds variety to the Default & Darcula color schemes, offers customizable Postfix Completion templates, and makes Go Modules and dep integration smarter. You will also find various quick-fixes based on the Change Signature refactoring and many other new code editing features. Support for Shell scripts and Kustomize for Kubernetes is available, as is support for the new Go 1.13 features.
brings an even better Jupyter notebook experience: run all your cells with a single click, more granular server configuration, and more. We’ve also implemented initial support for Python 3.8, copy-pasting a cURL format request into .http files, and now highlight the syntax of over 20 popular languages out of the box.
is a major update for the PHP IDE. Explore the new features: support for PHP 7.4 Typed properties, .phpt test files support, RegExps in PHP highlighting and check, finding duplicated code on the fly, syntax highlighting for Go, Ruby, Python, and many other languages, EditorConfig support, and lots more.
ReSharper Ultimate 2019.2
delivers better support for C# 8.0 and updates in Navigation, Find Usages, and debugger data tips. It improves startup times and offers initial support for the “Per-Monitor DPI Awareness” mode in VS 2019. Indexing for C++ projects is faster, and more C++ 20 features are supported.
ReSharper C++ 2019.2
provides significantly faster indexing thanks to a new preprocessor implementation. It improves code navigation and completion actions, adds more code hints in the editor, and has new code inspections. This version also comes with more sophisticated support for the new C++20 standard, as well as better integration for Unreal Engine 4 projects.
comes with a set of new features: Services tool window allows you to manage all connections and follow the query time. Full-text search helps you to find any data anywhere. Filtering in navigation makes searching for objects faster.
is here with initial Swift 5.1 support, Code Coverage for unit tests, LLDB Disassembly view, Find Usages sorting, Create from Usage for enum cases, and an ability to Build, Run, Debug, and Test during indexing.
