IntelliJ IDEA 10 EAP (96.1121)

New IntelliJ IDEA 10 EAP build is ready for you to try, enjoy and send us your feedback.

What’s in:

  • Smart completion for ActionScript (details coming soon).
  • Marked objects referencing in debugger.
  • HTML5 support improvements.
  • Improved keymaps editing: keymap is auto-copied on edit.
  • More UI cleanup for Mac OS X (prettier ‘Go to Class’/’Go to File’ popups, reworked sorting in tables, nicer borders for controls).
  • EAP builds do not require a valid IntelliJ IDEA license anymore. 30-day license key is embedded.
  • and 250+ other things.

Download IntelliJ IDEA X build for your platform now!

PS. BTW, have you heard the recent news on JDK7?

Develop with pleasure!

Apologies if I’ve missed this in an earlier post – is idea X going to be a free upgrade for 9 users? Contemplating buying 9 now but don’t really want to have to pay for the upgrade in a couple of months…

    Thanks 🙂

So after Oracle pulled the plug out of the Java (basically) are there any plans to improve support for Scala or shipping the plugin with IDEA by default?

loving the new mac UI improvements… but maven reindexing is broken.. lots of hanging during resolving of dependencies… how do i get a thread dump to submit an issue?

also many exceptions the ‘blame on XXX’ thing is greyed out so i haven’t been able to submit as many exceptions last few builds.

Unfortunately you can’t access the main settings menu in the recent EAP for Mac. So the EAP is almost unusable.

IntelliJ IDEA 10 is a regular major release, and will not be a free upgrade for users of IntelliJ IDEA 9.

Our work on the Scala plugin continues as earlier, and Oracle’s announcements haven’t had any impact on our plans in this regard. We haven’t yet decided whether the plugin will be bundled with IDEA 10.
