IntelliJ IDEA 15.0.2 EAP Makes it Easier to Access VCS Tabs

Andrey Cheptsov

We don’t stop improving IntelliJ IDEA even after a major release. The fresh IntelliJ IDEA 15.0.2 EAP build introduces a much easier way to access individual VCS tool window tabs (Local changes, Log and Shelf).

Now, instead of opening this tool window via Alt + 9 (Cmd + 9 on OS X), and then using the mouse or Alt + Arrow (Ctrl + Arrow on OS X) to get to a tab you need, you can assign shortcuts to open the tabs directly.

Read the Release Notes for more on what’s been added, improved and fixed, and of course, give the new EAP build a try. Share your feedback with us via the discussion forum and the issue tracker.

mb alt+9 and alt+arrow instead of ctrl + 9 ant ctrl+arrow for Windows?

      You’re right, sorry. Fixed now.

I think there is confusion between Ctrl and Alt. Alt + 9 and Alt + Arrow rather than Ctrl+ 9 and Ctrl + Arrow.

    Thank you.

      Indeed, sorry. I’ve fixed it.

A shortcut that I miss much more: Directly open the “Project Tree” with the current file selected.

That, too, is always at least one keystroke and open little popup too far away.
