Has the line height been increased in the project view?

Fixing the IDEA-223220 error is actually just increasing the height of the line in the product tree, although now my product tree looks like there is a lot of wasted space.
Can you introduce a switch for those who do not want high lines in the product tree ?

Agreed, all the tree views have increased line height, this is indeed very annoying. +1 for the option to make it configurable

    • Some Guy says:

Totally agree. Looks strange and feels waste of space.
Also vote for the option to make it configurable

    • Oleg Maximchuk says:

      +1

Like Grzegorz says, line height in a number of views seems to have increased. Not only in project view, but also in popup dialogs (code completion etc).

Not sure if I mind by the way. It’s different, but not necessarily worse.

+1 to above commentators! Please restore line height in “project tree” and “structure views”!! or make it configurable! thanks!

Currently we’re working on the fix. To temporarily restore the line height, see “Workaround” section in the description of https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-231685

      • Andrew says:

        February 13, 2020

Thanks! Set it to 20. What default value was before update?

        • Arseniy Nisnevich says:

          February 13, 2020

It was 20 also, but it was adjusting to OS font size, which varied on some Linux environments and caused a bug. We’ve implemented a solution, however, since the value that is used for adjusting is unexpected sometimes (it depends at least on resolution, scaling and OS font setup), the current problem appeared. See “Attention” section in the description of https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-231685

      Hi,

I’m sorry to hear that. Could you file a new issue so we can investigate the reason of the crashes? https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue
Please, attach full logs directory to the issue: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/2019.3/tuning-the-ide.html?_ga=2.44146796.914498145.1581344291-51529972.1553679210#logs-directory
Feel free to write me a reply once you create the issue so I’ll check it ASAP. Thank you!

        Hi Arseniy ,
I fixed the problem by choosing another JVM from JBR 11.0.5 to Oracle 11.0.6!!

          February 13, 2020

Thanks for the update. I’m glad you’ve found a workaround. However, I’d still be grateful if you could send the logs for investigation since JBR is designed specifically to improve IntelliJ IDEA runtime, and generally running IDE under third party JDK isn’t that stable. Thank you.

Must be something with your machine, not doing that for everyone else.

        Hi Joe,

I tried to follow the “update available for IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1 to IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.3” dialog, which tried to download the update patches, but at the end it is complaining that

    Plugin Error
Plugin “Cucumber for Java” is incompatible (target build range is 193.6494 to 193.*).
Plugin “Gherkin” is incompatible (target build range is 193.6015 to 193.*).

It is now not recognizing the files with .feature extension, may be due to Cucumber plugin.

Also, it has not updated the IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1 to IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.3, which it supposed to.

    Any ideas
    (1) First to update the IDE from IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1 to IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.3
    (2) Make the plugins compatible with the IDEA

    • Prasad Nutalapati says:

      February 17, 2020

I could able to uninstall the offending plugins
      (1)Gherkin
      (2) Cucumber for Java

But later, how ever many times I tried to update the IDEA from 2019.3.1 to 2019.3.3, it pretends downloading the patch and installing it, but never installs it.

I am on Mac Mojave 10.14.6 with JDK 1.8.151 installed.

With this version code drag’n’drop does not work anymore. After selecting a piece of code and dragging it to a different location the current contents of the clipboard are inserted instead of the selected code parts

The option to prefer local maven dependencies is still missing on intellij.

What about the OpenJDK version, is it updated to 11.0.6 ????
