In the fourth episode of Coffee Club, Dalia Abo Sheasha and Helen Scott will sit down with Angie Jones and Marco Behler to talk about the importance of mentorship and sponsorship.
Angie Jones speaks at software events and leads her own learning platform; Marco Behler is an experienced consultant who shares his knowledge through presentations and live streams.
Both our guests have rich experience in shaping skills and gathering community support. During the discussion, they will share bits of advice and personal insights.

Angie is a Java Champion and Senior Director who specializes in test automation strategies and techniques. As a Master Inventor, Angie is known for her innovative and out-of-the-box thinking, which has resulted in more than 25 patented inventions in the US and China. She shares her wealth of knowledge by speaking and teaching at software conferences all over the world, as well as leading the online learning platform Test Automation University. In her spare time, Angie volunteers with Black Girls Code, teaching coding workshops to young girls to attract more women and minorities to tech.
Marco Behler
Marco works as a Developer Advocate at JetBrains. Before that, he ran a small consulting agency in Munich, Germany, freelanced for various customers, and worked as a software developer.
After working hours, Marco provides training sessions for the Java & Spring ecosystem and gives talks at Java User Groups & conferences in Germany/Austria/Switzerland.
Dalia Abo Sheasha
Dalia joined JetBrains as a Developer Advocate in October 2020. She is an experienced speaker and Java developer who understands how enterprise developers work and the challenges they face. A passionate programmer with many high-profile projects to her name, including Open Liberty and EclipseLink (JPA), she has created helpful tools for migrating to newer versions of Java.
Helen Scott
Helen has been part of JetBrains since August 2020. She started out as a Java programmer but has spent most of her career creating content as a technical writer. Helen combines her passions for content creation, learning new things, and communication to bring a unique mix of skills to the team. Helen is exceptionally keen on championing the experience of all users, especially those who are new to IntelliJ IDEA IDE, because she can empathize with them thanks to her own journey. She truly appreciates where people may struggle when they’re new to Java and/or to IntelliJ IDEA. Helen enjoys lifting weights and quilting in her spare time, although not at the same time!
