Coffee Club Episode 5

Description:

It’s our last episode of the year! The Java Advocates team is getting together to reflect on 2021, including some major events, like the release of Java 17 and IntelliJ IDEA’s 20th birthday. We’ll also chat about some of our personal milestones and accomplishments. We’d love to hear about yours too!

Dalia

Dalia Abo Sheasha

Dalia joined JetBrains as a Developer Advocate in October 2020. She is an experienced speaker and Java developer who understands how enterprise developers work and the challenges they face. A passionate programmer with many high-profile projects to her name, including Open Liberty and EclipseLink (JPA), she has created helpful tools for migrating to newer versions of Java.

Helen Scott

Helen works with executives and developer advocates at MongoDB to help deliver keynotes and presentations around the globe.

She believes that content creation and communication are the best ways to engage with the community and help everyone learn together.

Having worked at numerous software companies, she has experienced the highs and lows of the software development cycle at all stages. She loves to share that journey of exploration and learn new tools and technologies.

Helen has a Computer Science degree from The University of Sussex and a diploma in Technical Communications from Sheffield Hallam University.

Trisha Gee

Trisha Gee

Trisha is our Lead Java Developer Advocate at JetBrains. She is a Java Champion, published author, and leader of the Java Developer Advocacy team at JetBrains. Trisha has developed Java applications for industries of all sizes and sectors, including finance, manufacturing, and non-profit. She has expertise in Java high performance systems, dabbles with Open Source development, and is a leader of the Sevilla Java User Group.

Trisha is exceptionally passionate about sharing things that help other developers. That might include getting them up to speed on the latest version of Java, teaching them tips and tricks to save time with IntelliJ IDEA, or promoting healthy technical communities across the globe. Trisha values helping all developers level up their careers and skills at every step of their journey.
