IntelliJ IDEA 2025.2.2 Is Out!

IntelliJ IDEA 2025.2.2 has arrived with several valuable fixes.

You can update to this version from inside the IDE, using the Toolbox App, or using snaps if you are a Ubuntu user. You can also download it from our website.

Here are the most notable updates included in this version:

  • The Run Maven Build icon is once again available in the Maven panel toolbar. [IDEA-376149
  • Remote SSH external tools now work as expected. [IJPL-200406]  
  • The IDE again correctly parses environment variables with semicolon values pasted in the Run/Debug dialog. [IJPL-200754
  • The IDE now properly handles MAVEN_OPTS environment variables. [IDEA-368366
  • On Windows, the Find in Files dialog again works as expected, closes correctly, and no longer shows a persistent green area. [IJPL-162798
  • Several issues with the terminal and WSL have been fixed. [IJPL-201390], [IJPL-183051
  • The terminal now starts correctly and works as expected on Windows 10. [IJPL-200939
  • It is once again possible to switch between split editors using the Switch popup. [IJPL-185383
  • The distributionUrl for Gradle 9 now contains the proper version when creating a new project, preventing sync failures. [IDEA-378326]
