  1. Graham Hili says:

I love to work with jetbrains WebStorm it is my everyday IDE, but the version 2019.2.3 has some annoying bugs.

Every time I open IDE it is telling me what configuration to get, like when you install a new version. Very annoying as it loses the setting I have conducted in my previous session.

The Services Tab Only shows up after I run a docker file cannot choose it from “Tools Windows” Does not show up.

Starting docker is painful, every time have to go to the config option and re choose the environment I need.

Hope these will be resolved soon.

      Hello Graham,
We are sorry to hear that. Any chance you can send us the IDE logs (menu Help – Compress Logs) so that we could investigate the problem? Here’s a link to our issue tracker https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/idea and here you can contact our tech support: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Regarding the Services tool window: does that happen in the same project or are you talking about different projects?

Can you please provide a bit more information about the environment configuration part? What exactly do you have to configure?

Is there a chance that you remove the .idea folder from the project root after you close the project?

  2. Oliver Leumann says:

Also here a huge fan of Webstorm but I also have issues with the most recent update; All configurations are gone (or at least not currently active anymore)! Thus in contrast to Graham Hili’s issue, I had the complete other behaviour; After the update (from 2019.2.2 to 2019.2.3), Webstorm didn’t ask me to get the configurations from the previous version. Had no time to investigate further right now, need to find out now for the first time how to do it manually :/ …

Hello Oliver, we are sorry to hear about the problems!
Can you please provide a bit more details about that? Are you talking about IDE preferences like editor themes and keymaps? Do you sync your setting via JetBrains account or do you use a settings repository feature? Can you please share the IDE logs (menu Help – Compress Logs) with us? Thanks!
When making a minor update (e.g. from 2019.2.2 to 2019.2.3), the IDE doesn’t have to do the settings import – all the settings are stored in the same location, so it’s a correct behavior that WebStorm didn’t ask you to configure the settings.
