CLion 2023.1 EAP7: Fixes for vcpkg, QML, and Memory View

The new CLion 2023.1 EAP build (231.8109.4) is now available to download directly from our website, via the Toolbox App, or as a snap package (if you are using Ubuntu). Update via patch if you are using the previous EAP build.

Here are the highlights:

  • Support for vcpkg:
    • Packages are now updated correctly when the VCPKG_ROOT system variable is set (CPP-32215).
    • We disabled the ability to edit the package manager settings while the package manager is still being installed to avoid conflicts and inconsistencies (CPP-32072).
  • QML support:
    • When Qt is used in WSL, CLion now launches qmlls and qmlformat with the wsl tool.
  • Memory view:
    • You can now configure the number of columns (number of bytes per line) in memory view:Memory View
  • You can now save multiple tool window layouts (learn more).
