Participate in thrilling challenges, find inspiration for innovation, and advance your understanding of machine learning and AI. Lecture highlights
Date and time: February 27–29, 2024, starting at 17:00 UTC (18:00 CET) each night
Location: Online, registration required
Day 1 – Prompting: Past and Recent Practices
Kickstarting the festival is Ivan Dolgov, ML Engineer for the JetBrains AI team, who will delve into recent practices involving the use of prompts for generative models. Explore tools for generating, tracking, and validating inputs, and learn how to tailor your prompting technique for optimal results in AI systems.
Day 2 – How Can Machine Learning Help Programmers?
Egor Bogomolov, Lead Researcher in the ML4SE Lab, part of JetBrains Research, explains various applications of modern ML techniques in code processing. Discover why machine learning for software engineering (ML4SE) extends beyond code analysis, and gain insight into its profound impact on software engineering.
Day 3 – JetBrains AI: A Deep Dive
Vladislav Tankov, Team Lead for the JetBrains AI team, takes you on a deep dive into the architecture and implementation of JetBrains AI. Learn about the functionality of JetBrains AI products, as well as their integration with LLM providers and the inference techniques used in them.

Team up with your friends or participate solo, with two tracks to choose from.
Track 1: Solo Mastery
Format: Kaggle-style individual competition
Challenge: Process source code and extract specific information
Capacity: Unlimited
Track 2: The Power of the Team
Format: Hackathon for teams of up to six people
Challenge: Create an AI companion to revolutionize the student learning experience
Capacity: Limited space – secure your team’s spot now!
Key Dates for the Competition:
– March 1, 17:00 UTC (18:00 CET) – The competition begins! Access competition details, datasets, and problem statements.
– March 3, 17:00 UTC (18:00 CET) – The clock stops! Ensure your solutions are submitted by the deadline.
The top three entrants in each track will be awarded official certificates and vouchers for our merchandise shop. Participants must be over 18 years old, and each participant may only compete in one track.
