Please welcome the next minor update: IntelliJ IDEA 2018.2.2. You can download it from our website, or update via Toolbox App.
This fresh update has important improvements in a number of areas.
We’ve fixed the regression, and now the IDE recognizes an IntelliJ IDEA project on checkout project from Git.
With this update, we’ve also added support for ClickHouse – an open-source analytic DBMS for big data from Yandex.
This update also comes with bug-fixes in other areas including: Java coding assistance (inspections, quick-fixes, refactoring, etc.), Spring Boot, Gradle, VCS, Grails, Docker, JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, and SQL.
You can find a full list of all the addressed issues in the release notes.
We encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments section below, discussion forum, or Twitter. And don’t forget to submit any issues you encounter to our issue tracker. Thanks!
Would be possible to have a link to the release notes here as usual?
Sure, added! Thank you.

That feeling when a bug older than your child is fixed!

That’s similar to the Git one, but it’s just a matter of “opening” the project again. Like 5 seconds.
Actually, the SVN one is the original from 8 years ago and it only got resolved because someone happened to mention 6 months ago that the same thing happens with Git.
Those 5 seconds start to get irritating and cut into you developing with pleasure
Patching from 2018.2.1 to 2018.2.2 is broken for me on Mac OS X High Sierra.
Patch downloads, runs silently, restarts IDEA, but version is still 2018.2.1.
No big deal though, posting here for others to let them know.
Using 2018.2.2 CE + Scala plugin 2018.2.10: still have the following bug. implicit conversion is not displayed with an underscore effect as before.
It’s actually not a bug. We re-worked the way how we show implicit conversions/arguments, see https://blog.jetbrains.com/scala/2018/08/17/how-to-use-the-new-features-of-intellij-scala-plugin-2018-2/
Markdown autoscroll preview is broken
So has been the markdown renderer for a few months, pretty sure it has a memory leak somewhere.
I have updated this version and the tomcat plugin now is missing, why this could have happened?
I have resolved the issue, open show ballon… and select Enable Database plugin and restart IDE

Please, return color to the toolbar and menu icons.

MacOS High Sierra
I have a similar issue and resolved by opening show ballon… and select Enable Database plugin and restart IDE (at least in linux version worked)
