PhpStorm 2018.3.5 is released

PhpStorm 2018.3.5 build 183.5912.26 is now available!

The release brings bugfixes and improvements for the IntelliJ Platform and Web.

We continue polishing the new Search Everywhere dialog based on your feedback. An option has been added to the new Search Everywhere, which lets you filter out run/debug configurations (IDEA-204151).
Also, the new Search Everywhere dialog doesn’t miss files (IDEA-203491) anymore, and displaying search results is no longer delayed (IDEA-199661).

Bug fixes worth noting:

  • Fixed: Updating plugins in an offline environment no longer works with new marketplace and custom plugin repository (IDEA-205032 +29)
  • Fixed: Apparent off-by-one displaying DATE datatype (DBE-5850 +23)
  • Fixed: Color Scheme reverts to Darcula from *custom* light color theme after restart if IDE theme is Darcula (IDEA-202248 +17)
  • Fixed: Angular template files are not recognized if “@angular/core” is not a direct dependency (WEB-36722 +3)

See the full list of fixed issues and improvements in the release notes.

Quick question – I use jetbrains toolbox so my tools are always updated, however – every time they’re updated, my desktop links* to the old version stop working and I need to update them manually with new path, f.e. “183.5912.26”. Any way to automate it?

    * quite a few more dependencies, but lets call them links for clearer picture.

      What OS are you on?
If you’re on linux and pstorm doesn’t work for you after an update – please leave a corresponding comment at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/TBX-1266.
Windows and OS X shortcuts should no longer be affected by this: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/TBX-2220

Thanks for replying. I am on Windows and the shortcuts are in quick launch section (it used to be a thing, but still works, so I use it), however – I have more dependencies that I have to update – like PhpStormProtocol and some internal stuff.

I am unsure how to handle this, but something that launches a .cmd/.bat after JetBrains Toolbox app launches would be ideal. On the other hand – I might just monitor installation directory on my own.

To be honest, I don’t see how we could take care of it apart from keeping the path the same – you can keep your shortcuts wherever, thus Toolbox will need to scan the whole file system in order to find all links.

Here’s what I can suggest – enable generating shell scripts in Toolbox, then make your quick launch shortcuts point to the .cmd script and not to the .exe file.
The next time an update takes place, Toolbox will update the script and you won’t have to update the shortcut manually.

I’ll look it up, thank you Eugene.

So when does 2018 quarter 6 become 2019.1 or 2019.2?
