RubyMine 4.0 RC2 is Out

Posted on by Tatiana Vasilyeva

Hello everyone,

Now we have RubyMine build 113.13 and it seems to be lucky to become the release candidate 2. Download and try it if you aren’t afraid of the number 13. You’ll find a lot of fixes there with a main focus on LESS. The whole list is available in release notes.

Please stay tuned at these last days before the release. Your feedback is very welcome as always and even more.

Develop with pleasure!

Just a minor annoyance, after upgrading via patched upgrade and restarting RubyMine, my license info was wiped out and I had to enter it again.

Just got it. One of the first things I do when I get a ne version of RubyMine, is change the font for code and the console to Menlo (on Apple): http://rubenerd.com/snow-leopard-menlo/

I can’t open any of my projects after updating to RC2. Removing the .idea directory does not help. Where can I log bugs and stack traces?

Hi, I’m new to RubyMine – I tried selecting Ruby 1.9.3 and Rails 3.2.1 for a new project, but a message “This version is not fully supported” appears on the dialog. I’ve searched the interwebs on what that exactly means but to no avail. I’m not sure to categorize this as a bug, or whether there is no specific support for Rails 3.2.1.

Thanks for reporting this, it’s indeed a bug. I’ve fixed it and fix will be available in the next public build.
