YouTrack 4.0 Release Date Is Moved
Last week we did a webinar focused on YouTrack 4.0 with Agile support. We’ve received so much valuable feedback from you since then that we decided to implement most of your suggestions in the upcoming version.
We realize much better now what problems you’re facing on a daily basis, while using other Agile tools. That’s why we want to do our best to help you avoid them with YouTrack 4.0.
Accordingly, we’ve pushed the release date to late June. But the good news is that we’re planning to have a release candidate by the end of May. We’ll keep you informed and announce the release date in early June.
We thank you for your patience as we work hard to deliver the best tool for your Agile team!

May 29, 2012What changes are you making? I’m watching the webinar now and am interested in what you think needs to change.

May 30, 2012Michael, we would like to improve couple things: Board settings, add max items per each column, add coloring items and some more improvements for Kanban.
Michael says:
May 30, 2012Those look like great changes. One question I had from the presentation: The workflow: Submitted -> In Progress -> Fixed -> Verified works great for features but is awkward for tasks. How do you verify a task? How do you fix a task? A task is either not started, started, or done. Features go through the workflow. Also, would one have a testing task?
valerie.andrianova says:
June 4, 2012It all depends on the states you configure for your project. Normally, we have a single ‘state’ field for any type of issues. But you can add specific states for tasks as well.
