Hi there,
Today we are excited to share great news with the whole C++ community. We are starting regular C++ Annotated editions covering various C++ related topics, to be sent out by email to anyone interested.
The background is pretty simple. While making three different C++ tools for you, our big C++ team collects lots of interesting C and C++ facts, news and events. So we thought, why not share them too?
The first edition is already out, talking about the upcoming CppCon sessions, many new releases, a webinar of ours on the topic of Generative art in C++, noteworthy C++ news from around the world, and more.
If you have any topics you would like to see covered, please email me @ Anastasia.Kazakova at JetBrains.com, and I’ll be happy to look into it.
Develop with pleasure!
The JetBrains Team
Could the Rust mention in the email possibly be a hint? An IDE would be amazing.
There is a 3rd party plugin for IntelliJ-based IDEs: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/7438?pr=clion. However it’s quite basic for now.
I’m aware of that, thanks. But it’s old and I’m not even sure if it’s even in development any more.
An official plugin would be nice. Especially since the compiler is being reworked for that exact purpose: http://blog.rust-lang.org/2015/08/14/Next-year.html
We are considering this option, but haven’t made any decision yet.
Just hearing that makes me very happy. I certainly hope that you’ll go for it. Thanks for your reply!
Why make this an email list and not publish via the blog the way the Java and PHP Annotated Monthly lists are published?
We are considering this option. Thanks for suggestion.
