About the presenters

Jodie Burchell

Dr. Jodie Burchell is the Developer Advocate for Data Science at JetBrains, having previously held the position of Lead Data Scientist at Verve Group Europe. She completed a PhD in clinical psychology and a postdoc in biostatistics, before leaving academia for a data science career. She has worked for eight years as a data scientist in both Australia and Germany, developing a range of products including recommendation systems, analysis platforms, search engine improvements, and audience profiling tools. She has held a broad range of responsibilities in her career, including everything from data analytics roles to maintaining machine learning solutions in production.

Matt Ellis

Matt Ellis is a Developer Advocate at JetBrains, working with lots of different IDEs and technologies such as the Unity and Unreal Engine game development tools in Rider, as well as Code With Me for collaborative editing and JetBrains Gateway for remote development. He has spent well over 20 years shipping software in various industries, and thoroughly enjoys working with IDEs and development tools as well as having fun with syntax trees and source code analysis. He also helps develop Rider’s Unity support and contributes to the popular IdeaVim plugin.

Khalid Abuhakmeh

Khalid Abuhakmeh is a JetBrains Developer Advocate focusing primarily on the .NET technology stack. He’s best known for his blog posts, open-source work, podcasts, and community engagement efforts, such as livestreams and event hosting.

Maarten Balliauw

Maarten Balliauw loves building web and cloud apps. His main interests are .NET web technologies, C#, Microsoft Azure, and application performance. He is a JetBrains Developer Advocate and the creator of SpeakerTravel. Maarten is a frequent speaker at various national and international events. In his free time, he brews his own beer.
